James Cook University’s has Height Safety System installed to allow safe access to carry out maintenance, repairs and inspections of roofs and roof mounted equipment and systems on building at the Smithfield Campus, the Daintree Rainforest Observatory research facility at Cape Tribulation and the Australian Institute of Tropical Medicine on Thursday Island.

This work is to provide labour, materials and equipment to carry out periodical inspection of the height safety systems so that they function on demand, within their design parameters and to the manufacturers specifications, to any/all relevant Australian Standards, Codes of Practice and Regulation, including but not restricted to AS/NZS 1891.4:2009  Industrial Fall-arrest System & Devices and AS/NZS1657:2013 Fixed Platforms, Walkways, Stairways & Ladders, with all work to be carried out in a tradesman-like manner using Best Practice.

This work includes the supply of any tasks, functions or responsibilities not specifically described as part of the section 1, Services (attached), but which is necessary or incidental to the proper provision of the maintenance, repairs and inspections of roofs and roof mounted equipment and systems, are deemed to be included as part of the section 1, Services (attached) as if specifically described below. 

The contractor must hold all licenses, accreditations, credentials and memberships required to carry out any and all tasks, functions or responsibilities required to maintain all Height Safety System systems and equipment.
