The Department of Natural Resources Mines and Energy (DNRME), Technical Services (TS) manages the Wolfram Camp Remediation project, located near Dimbulah, Qld.
The site and broader surrounding landscape has been heavily mined since as far back as the 1890’s.
Mains power to the Wolfram Camp site was cut by Ergon Energy prior to the site becoming an abandoned mine. As a result, all power needs for the site including pumps, equipment, buildings and support operations is provided by generators.
A HV line audit was completed by Burton Power under WC-39. This inspection identified critical maintenance and repairs (including design) required before the line can be re-energised. In total 18 defects were identified.
A suitably qualified and experienced Supplier is being sought to complete all repair and maintenance work as identified and described in the above Inspection Report and detailed designs delivered under the WC-39 Scope of Works to enable Energy Qld to re-energise the line.
