As from 1 July 2019, all new major Queensland Government construction projects including those with an estimated capital cost of $50 million or more and those involving significant alterations, extensions, renovations or repurposing existing assets are required to ensure Building Information Modelling (BIM) is used at implementation including design, delivery and asset management.
Queensland Corrective Services (QCS) seeks to implement BIM initially as part of Stage 2 of the Southern Queensland Correctional Precinct (SQCP S2), with the intent to capitalise on the utilisation of BIM across the broader asset base through augmentations, renewals, as well as, ongoing operations and maintenance.
QCS is seeking Offerors who is a suitably qualified digital engineering / Building Information Modelling contractor who will develop Asset Information Requirements aligned with QCS Organisational Information Requirements (OIR) and in a format suitable to be directly utilised within the SQCP_S2 tender documentation.
The timeframes for this projects deliverables are critical.
