| You are invited to tender for the build of the Pioneer II – 7.5m Aluminium Landing Craft.
A preliminary design for the landing craft and research vessel has been completed and is located at Part C – Statement of Requirements.
The landing craft is for operational, research and education use by Orpheus Island Research Station (OIRS) Staff, JCU and external persons who are suitably qualified and located at OIRS.
The project involves the build of the new craft, the Pioneer II, with upgraded features and will have a proposed practical completion date to ensure the craft is built within a practical time frame. When considering applying for this tender note that appropriate documentation will need to be supplied upon delivery of the craft to OIRS in regards to survey, suitability and certifications.
Transportation and delivery of the craft to OIRS is a required consideration when tendering for this project.
