| Invitation to Tender:
The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to establish a Standing Offer or Panel Arrangement that is aligned to supplying chillers that will be required to be replaced across Griffith University for the next 3-year period.
The expectation is that a panel of suppliers will be created, consisting of a small number of successful respondents. The spend will be distributed between the suppliers over the period.
This tender is broken into multiple parts as it is fulfilling a dual function: establishing a panel of quality chiller suppliers, and the University’s first order from this panel: water-cooled chillers supplied for Building S01 Griffith University’s Conservatorium building. This dual function splits the tender into two parts: Part A and B relate to the Panel Arrangement and Part C and D relate to the S01 Chiller order.
Part A: This document. Detailing requirements relating to the establishing the panel arrangements and what respondents must complete in order to be eligible
Part B: The response form for the panel arrangement questions. Respondents must complete this should they wish to be on the panel, and therefore eligible to bid on chiller works to Griffith for the next 3-year period
Part C: Detailing requirements relating to Griffith’s first order from the panel – the replacement of the water-cooled chiller at Building S01, Griffith University’s Conservatorium Building
Part D: Detailed specifications relating to S01 to assist in your response to this order and building your quote.
Griffith University is issuing this tender to meet these key objectives:
To go to open market and request bids from the most suitable suppliers in the market to form a new panel arrangement for the supply of chiller units specifically to Griffith
- To communicate to the market that this tender will form the basis of future buying from Griffith of chillers (i.e. Griffith University’s Campus Life department will only seek quotes from this panel to source chillers)
- To provide to the market Griffith’s first order request – the opportunity to bid on our S01 Chiller Replacement (detailed further in Part C) and award a successful supplier for it.
Requirements to be a conforming offer:
To be a conforming offer, the offer must:
- be received by the closing date and time 1.00pm, Wednesday 20 November, via Qtenders;
- be received in the format and method described in this RFP and RFT;
- be open for the minimum validity period;
- satisfy all mandatory requirements; and
- respond to all sections of this RFP and RFT documents in full.
