Invitation to Submit Tender - Griffith Institute for Drug Discovery (GRIDD) (N27 & N75), Nathan campus

You are invited to submit a Tender for the execution and completion of the works described below in accordance with the Drawings and Specification (if any) supplied herewith, the Griffith University Conditions of Tender & Conditions of Contract for ‘Minor Works’ herein, and any other information issued by the Principal for the purposes of tendering.

Description of Works: Griffith Institute for Drug Discovery (GRIDD) (N27 & N75), Nathan campus

Refurbishment of Electrical infrastructure at N27 GRIDD Building 1 as per the documentation referenced by the document transmittal.

Tenderers shall note the following:

Time: 1.00 pm

  • The Contract is a Lump Sum Fixed Price not subject to adjustment for rise and fall in costs.
  • Tenders shall remain valid for 30 calendar days.
  • The tenders will not be opened publicly.
  • Tenders will be evaluated in accordance with the following Criteria, and tenderers are required to address these criteria in their tender submission;
  • Construction program 15%– identify lead times of key product and materials, project milestones including service isolation, length and staging of individual tasks to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of key outcomes.
  • Contractor’s key resources 15% – Provide CV detailing the names and qualifications of proposed site/project management including key sub-contractors and support staff, together with details of previous experience in working on a University campus. GU reserves the right to reject any nominated person and request an alternative nomination.
  • Construction Methodology 30%– nominate methodology on noisy/dusty works, isolation of critical service supply, strategy to maintain (essential) operation during service isolation, nominated quality assurance and safety system in operation at organisation, experience with similar essential electrical refurbishment works in (tertiary) government institutions, value add offered by tendering organisation.   
  • Price 40% –attendance mandatory site visit (above), Appendix 1 to the tender form (trade breakdown) and signed document transmittal
