Dear Tenderers

You are invited to submit a Tender for the execution and completion of the works described below in accordance with the Drawings and Specification (if any) supplied herewith, the Griffith University Conditions of Tender & Conditions of Contract for ‘Minor Works’ herein, and any other information issued by the Principal for the purposes of tendering.

Description of Works:

Installation of two (2) pedestrian crossover points (South Ring Road), Nathan campus

Undertaking

1. Supply and install two (2) pedestrian crossover points as per the details provided on South Ring Road Only, inclusive of all works i.e signage, line marking, concrete works, fencing
2. Traffic Guidance Schemes and Traffic Management is to be included within the Tender’s Offer
3. Drawing GA5444 are to be used as the lights

Not going ahead will be the following:

1. Intersection works of South Ring Road and West Creek Road, inclusive of all works i.e signage, line marking, concrete works
2. Cross over points on West Creek Road inclusive of all works i.e signage, line marking, concrete works

Note: it is proposed that the University may be able to close down South Ring Road during the working period. This would see a reduction in traffic control for the duration of the works.

• The Contract is a Lump Sum Fixed Price not subject to adjustment for rise and fall in costs.

• Tenders shall remain valid for 30 calendar days.

• The tenders will not be opened publicly.

• Tenders will be evaluated in accordance with the following Criteria and weightings, and tenderers are required to address these criteria in their tender submission;

• Construction program

• Contractor’s key resources – Provide names and qualifications of proposed site management and support staff together with details of any previous experience in working on a University campus. GU reserves the right to reject any nominated person and request an alternative nomination.

• Construction Methodology – Provide a program to undertake the works, Site establishment plan – set down, deliveries, management of COVID-19 on site with head contractor and sub-contractors.
