INVITATION TO SUBMIT A TENDER
You are invited to submit a Tender for the execution and completion of the works described below in accordance with the Drawings and Specification (if any) supplied herewith, the Griffith University Conditions of Tender & Conditions of Contract for ‘Minor Works’ herein, and any other information issued by the Principal for the purposes of tendering.
Description of Works:
The intent of this scope of works is to demolish part of the floorplate to allow completion of the Design. The scope of works is further detailed by the documents issued in the drawing transmittal. It is implicit that the scope of works shall include satisfaction of key documents referenced such as the GU Design Guidelines (current) and WHS Act & Regulations 2011. No costs will be approved for the lack of familiarisation or adherence.
Scope of works shall include the removal back to base of the Mechanical and Hydraulic Services not shown on the Mechanical and Hydraulic documents but shown on the Architectural, i.e. documents shall be ‘read as a whole’. Griffith University’s assumption is that each tender submission received require no ancillary or additional works as a result or consequence unless specifically identified, in order to achieve the prescribed outcomes and intent.
Tenderers shall be aware that it is understood that some existing services supply other floors of the building. Therefore, Tenderers shall make allowance for this investigation, identification and likely protection during works where not evident or adequately described in the documents.

The SITE VISIT on the Tuesday 9 June 2020 at 7:30am is MANDATORY. Contractors in attendance shall not bring more than two (2) representatives

The Contract is a Lump Sum Fixed Price not subject to adjustment for rise and fall in costs.
Tenders shall remain valid for 30 calendar days.
The tenders will not be opened publicly.
- Tenders will be evaluated in accordance with the following Criteria and weightings, and tenderers are required to address these criteria in their tender submission;
- Construction program
- describe the key tasks and hold points including the opportunity to salvage equipment, service isolations, noisy works etc, that demonstrates tenderers understanding of the scope of works
- Contractor’s key resources
- Provide names, qualifications and experience of key proposed staff such as the Project Manager and Site Foreman, ideally via a Curriculum Vitae relevant to the scope.
Note: GU reserves the right to reject any nominated person and request an alternative nomination.
