The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of a new Outdoor Learning Area at Southport State School, located at 215 Queen St, Southport QLD 4215 as part of the School Infrastructure Enhancement Program.
This project comprises demolishment works and construction of the following items; new pathways, roofing, landscaping, concrete works, soccer pitch, handball court, installation of play equipment, wash trough and water bubbler with refill station. All works are to be completed by 27 November 2020.
The Outdoor Learning Area will include the removal of existing concrete paths, hand rails, shade structure, selected trees & roots and the construction of the following items; new pathways, roofing, landscaping, concrete works, installation of play equipment and drinking fountains The position of the building is at the front of the school with limited site access and working space.
Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:
- Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works
- Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $ 1M
