This procurement activity is sought to meet the critical needs for Acid Sulfate Soils in relation to infrastructure on East Trinity Environmental Reserve adjacent to the Great Barrier Reef (GBR) and the declared Fish Habitat Area of the Port of Cairns.
These works will involve replacement, repair of existing infrastructure to mitigate immediate and long-term safety, environmental risks associated with the structural integrity internal bund wall, flood gates, culverts, spillway, monitor stations and access roadways associated with tidal regulation to prevent acid water entering the Reef lagoon and remediation of East Trinity Reserve.

- D2-D4 corners crossing - replace pipe culvert
- D2 spillway - replacement spillway & pipe
- WQM13 Monitoring station – reinstate rock protection
- Main gate access crossing – reinstate rock protection
- Iron Bridge access crossing - replace pipe culvert
- D19 Paddy's road crossing - replace pipe culvert
- Hills creek drain crossing - repair road at crossing
- D17 Monitoring station - reinstate rock protection and raise road level
