Asbestos - 5 year Statutory Checks
James Cook University (JCU) is committed to managing its asset portfolio in line with legal requirements. This includes adhering to regulatory requirements relating to managing asbestos-containing materials (ACM) located within buildings.
JCU is seeking the services of a supplier with a competent person to undertake an asbestos review of JCU’s asset portfolio in line with requirements detailed in sections 426, ‘Review of Asbestos Register’ and 430 (e), ‘Review of asbestos management plan’ Workplace Health and Safety Regulation Queensland 2011 (Qld) and section 3.2, ‘Reviewing and revising an asbestos register’, How to manage and control asbestos in the workplace – Code of Practice 2011 (PN11163).
JCU has an Asbestos Management and Control Framework that has been in operation since 2015. This includes:
