TS requires the wet hire of plant and equipment to undertake necessary earthworks to achieve the objectives set out in the final concept designs. Work directions will be given by TS Supervisors. To undertake this work, TS will require the following:
Work Planning and Safety Documentation
A Construction Plan and appropriate Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) will be required for the work. DNRME must approve the SWMS and Plan prior to commencing the work on-site.
A site induction must be completed by each worker to the site and will be delivered by DNRME personnel. The induction training will take approximately 30 minutes. The induction will reference the Health, Safety and Environment Management Plan which must be adhered to during all works on site.
Prior to commencing work on site, a risk workshop and kick-off meeting (approximately 1.5hr in duration) will be held to discuss site specific hazards, challenges and any other contract requirements.
Provision of Wet Hire Plant and Equipment
The Contractor shall provide a suitable range of plant, including appropriately qualified and experienced operators, to perform works typically associated with erosion and sediment control, cut/fill and maintenance/repair of embankments, swales and other earthen structures.
It is expected the plant may include as a minimum a D6 dozer, loader, 20-30t excavator, tippers/moxie/body trucks and a water cart. The contractor is to include rates for available plant (including the operator), mobilisation and demobilisation rate as well as any other associated costs that may be incurred as part of the works.
