Revegetation Technical Support

The Supplier will assist the Customer to investigate, assess and recommend solutions to achieve a safe and stable landform, which limits erosion from site, through development of a resilient and self-sustaining vegetation cover. Following client approval of the Revegetation Plan, the Supplier will assist with planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring of the revegetation works.

It is intended to utilise local and native species to the maximum extent achievable. Furthermore, existing identified EVNT plant species onsite must be protected.

The advice and expertise required will include:

  1. Assistance with development of a Revegetation Plan which is
    1. site specific,
    2. incorporates local knowledge,
    3. contains suitable quality control measures,
    4. is practical and cost effective, and
    5. complies with all relevant legislative requirements.
  2. Provide input and assistance towards the procurement associated with goods items to be purchased externally (seed, mulch, and amelioration products)
  3. Provide inputs and assistance with procurement associated with services items to be purchased externally (seed collection, tubestock, onsite planting, maintenance contract).

 

  1. Where appropriate, directly provide services such as seed collecting, tubestock development, inspections, hand seeding or planting, watering, weed removal, etc.
  2. Provide quality control and inspection of the goods received, and services being undertaken by others, throughout the implementation of the Revegetation Plan; and provide advice and recommendations for improvement where necessary. This can include providing direct feedback and/or mentoring to the revegetation workforce.
  3. Any other activities agreed between both parties, which is relevant to the success of the Revegetation works.

The works would be on an as-requested / as-agreed basis, up to the approved expenditure limit. Although works can go up to the maximum limit, there is no obligation or commitment that works must continue to that approved limit.

A timesheet is to be maintained outlining daily tasks undertaken and hours expended, in addition to any expenses incurred, and the cumulative total hours spent vs contract limit. The timesheet template is provided as Appendix 2. Approved timesheets are to be provided with invoices as supporting documentation, combined with photographs or scan copies or expense receipts.
