The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of an extensive amenities refurbishment at Boyne Island State School, located at 151 Malpas Street, Boyne Island QLD 4680, as part of the Amenities Program.
The works involves extensive demolition with asbestos removal, complete reconfiguration of the internal layout, along with new walls, floors, fixtures, fittings and all new finishes. A temporary amenities building will need to be provided during the works to mitigate disruption to the school operations. The position of the building is at the forefront of the school campus, with good site access and working space. All works are to be completed by the end of June 2021.
Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:
- Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works
- Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $1 million
QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance
It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
Please contact David Honeywill – Project Manager on david@honeywill.com.au with your company details and tender documentation will be emailed to contractors. Details of the site inspection will be advised in the email and letters to tenderers.
