Through this Invitation To Offer, The University of Queensland (UQ) seeks two items:
- Offers for the supply of new commodity cloud compute infrastructure
- Offers for a range of infrastructure configurations of specialised compute to support Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC)’s National Software Platforms.
The first item UQ seeks are Offers for the supply of new commodity cloud compute infrastructure to refresh end-of-life infrastructure for the Queensland (QRIScloud) and New South Wales (Intersect) Nectar Nodes. With $1M in capital funding available, the supply will maximise for the number of virtual CPUs provided, balanced with infrastructure for virtual machine root drives, volume storage, object storage, an expansion of the Nectar control plane, and network connectivity.
The second item UQ seeks are Offers for a range of configurations of specialised compute infrastructure in support of ARDC’s National Software Platforms which are complementary to the commodity compute infrastructure of the Nectar research cloud. Funding for this specialised compute infrastructure is separate to the $1M of funding for the commodity cloud compute infrastructure sought in item 1 and is variable. As ARDC funding may become available throughout the Acceptance Period, UQ will be in a position to rapidly procure the required configurations of specialised compute infrastructure in support of ARDC’s National Software Platforms.
UQ is seeking Offers from the following Suppliers only:
- Suppliers who are vendors of the offered equipment
- Suppliers who are the preferred reseller of an equipment vendor, nominated to provide a response on behalf of an equipment vendor.
