Rainbow Beach Tailings Hill Value Assessment

Historical mineral sand mining activities at the Rainbow Beach former mine site are the subject of a remediation project by the Department Resources (DoR). Mining activities that occurred at the site resulted in various waste streams from the sand mining operation being stockpiled at different locations. The objective of this work is to deliver an exploration target and to prepare a value proposition for a large tailings stockpile located at the southern end of Lot 3 on Plan AP17591. Based on the information to date, an estimation of the exploration target range for the ilmenite mineralisation is to be provided as a deliverable.  The exploration target where able, should utilise appropriate modelling and quantification software based on the data provided.  The exploration target classification is to align with The Australasian Code for Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves (JORC Code 2012).  A report is to be provided that identifies and details the exploration target estimation process, assumptions and methodology used to develop the estimate of volume, tonnage and grade.
