As part of UQ's obligations in response to the Queensland Government's changes to the Building Regulation 2006, UQ has registered all affected buildings with Safer Buildings.
UQ engaged a fire consultant to produce a Building Fire Safety Risk Assessment (BFSRA) report for all of the affected buildings. There are three buildings located on the Herston campus which have been identified and will be delivered as a package:
- UQ Centre for Clinical Research
- Health Sciences
- Oral Health Centre
UQ is seeking proposals and quotes from suitably qualified façade engineers to design and develop a façade performance specification for the three nominated buildings. The services required will include investigations, schematic/developed design, tender support, and detailed design and construction support.
In addition, the façade engineer will also be required to investigate, design and develop a solution for the rectification of existing water ingress issues at the UQ Centre for Clinical Research.
Please refer to the Specification Documents for further information.
