The Department of Environment and Science is seeking offers for an independent review as follows:
The Office of the Great Barrier Reef (OGBR) is seeking an independent review of the Reef 2050 Water Quality Improvement Plan (WQIP) land management targets involving industry and other stakeholders as part of the review.
The aim will be to better align the management practice targets with the finer scale water quality targets which vary across catchments, including considering how the targets are set and how progress will be measured.
The successful provider will:
- Establish a Stakeholder Partnership Group with an independent chair to provide representative input on the review of the agricultural land management practice targets;
- Provide secretariat duties for the establishment and operation of the Stakeholder Partnership Group;
- Lead the development process for the proposed suite of revised targets including overall project management, scientific and technical analysis, consultation, engagement and reporting; and
- Work with a consortium of technical experts to ensure that the best available science and evidence underpins the formation and reporting of the targets.
