You are invited to submit a Tender for the execution and completion of the works described below in accordance with the Drawings and Specification (if any) supplied herewith, the Griffith University Conditions of Tender & Conditions of Contract for ‘Minor Works’ herein, and any other information issued by the Principal for the purposes of tendering.
Description of Works:
The following outlines the description of works to be undertaken, briefing of Griffith University expectations around Design and Construction of the project and outlines hold points for Griffith University gateway approvals. It is expected that the contractor will either provide in house documentation services (all disciplines required) or engage suitable consultants (all disciplines required) to complete the design component of this project. Project Background
Gumurrii is a dedicated support unit for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff of the student success unit assist students from recruitment, orientation to graduation. Providing Undergraduate and postgraduate support, including tutorial assistance.
The Nathan campus Student Success Unit is located in N06 Building. The unit provides staff and computer support to students and is a welcoming safe environment for students to seek assistance and support both academically and culturally.
The vision for the refurbishment is one of a culturally welcoming environment and identification from outside of the site. A space which encourages collaboration between Gumurrii staff and the students they support.
Project Deliverables
In addition to the requirements outlined in the Scope of Works in this tender invitation, the successful contractor will need to demonstrate an understanding of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural sensitivities through design, in the selection of materials and images and throughout consultation with Gumurrii stakeholders and the end user group.
The following design deliverables are required to be completed under the Conditions of Contract for Minor Works (clause C.27 Design Responsibility)

- Requests for information (RFI’s) relating to the tender will close on Friday 15 January 2021 at 1:00 pm
- The Contract is a Lump Sum Fixed Price for Design Documentation and Construction and is not subject to adjustment for rise and fall in costs
- This project has approved funding and is being sent to select tenderers
- Tenders shall remain valid for 30 calendar days
- The tenders will not be opened publicly
Mandatory Site inspection to be held on Tuesday 12 January 2021 at 10:00am; details provided herein.
