Council is seeking to undertake the construction of a culvert/rock ramp fishway at Sandy Creek, Palm Tree Road, Sandiford.
Upstream of the barrier is an extensive stream network that contains a multitude of instream and offstream aquatic habitats. Currently fish and other aquatic fauna are being impacted by limitations to migration as a result of the existing causeway configuration.
This project has been funded by the Queensland Government’s Works for Queensland program.
