Dear Tenderers
You are invited to submit a Tender to carry out all works associated with the G26 Main Switchboard Replacement at the Gold Coast campus, Griffith University.
The G26 Building contains vital science laboratories.Maintaining services and operations to the building is critical. To reduce operational risk a new diesel generator is proposed to be located in adjacent building G29 to provideemergency power. The scope of this project is to complete building works and associated services upgrades required to accommodate the new generator.Building modifications to building G29, including removal of walls, installation of louvres for air flow and the construction of a small building to house the new G26 Switchboard are part of scope. Design, delivery, installation and commissioning of the new G26 switchboard and all associated electrical work is also within scope.
The generator is to be provided by others and the supply and delivery of it is not part of this contract. Liaison with the generator supplier is required during the course of the works. It is anticipated the generator will be craned to site in mid May 2021.
As part of the annual certification requirements for critical laboratories in building G26, an annual shutdown is undertaken for maintenance. For 2021 the shutdown works are scheduled to commence on 1st June 2021 until11 June 2021.Works to test and commission the switchboard will need to be finalised prior to a full load generator test on Friday 11 June 2021.
