The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the construction of ITD Block Refurbishment Project at
Beerwah State High School, located at 35 Roberts Rd, Beerwah QLD 4519, as part of the School Infrastructure Enhancement
program.
The refurbishment consists of a New General Store, a New Paint Store, New Spray booth and a New Plant Room to be added
to the Existing Manual Arts Block. There is also additional fume extraction to welding bays and dust extraction to woodworking
classrooms. The position of the building is in the centre of the school with limited site access and working space. All works are
to be completed by January 2022.
Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:
- Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works
- Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $1,000,000.00
QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance
It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are
required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
