The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of the GLA Refurbishment
project at Currimundi State School, located at 17 Buderim St, Currimundi QLD 4551, as part of the School Infrastructure
Enhancement (SIE) program.
The existing building is one level and contains Prep Room 1 and 2, a Resource Room, Meeting Room, two (2No.) Offices and
Kitchenette. The Scope of Work includes but is not limited to new Floor Finishes, Joinery items, Bi-Fold Doors, Windows and
Glazing and Teaching Walls. The position of the building is at the front of the school with limited site access and working space.
All works are to be completed by January 2022.
Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:
- Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire Scope of Works
- Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $1 Million
QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance
It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are
required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
