| External certification has been used to date by DAF Forestry to support DAF’s systematic management and help demonstrate its environmental credentials and the associated social licence of the operations that we authorise. Certification is also used by some of our customers to enhance access to more discerning timber markets.
DAF Forestry is seeking an independent review and evaluation of its certification under the Responsible Wood Standard and identification of potential alternative certification schemes or other approaches that could support systematic management, social licence and add value to the industry.
DAF Forestry is seeking a service provider to undertake a review and document the benefits, costs, resources and constraints arising from its certification under AS4708. The review will include a comparative analysis of potential alternatives capable of demonstrating that DAF Forestry authorised operations continue to meet legal obligations and community and government expectations within available resourcing.
