Supply of Food Products (Grocery, Meat, Fruit and Veg)
Queensland Corrective Services (QCS) currently has 12 public funded facilities and one private facility spanning 19 delivery locations housing collectively up to 9,100 offenders across Queensland and is seeking experienced Suppliers to provide food products across all centres.
These centres provide a full standardised menu of selected dishes to meet the daily diet of prisoners, and also provides daily meals for approximately 3,688 correctional staff as well as visitors. The kitchens in each facility are operated by qualified catering staff and are fully functional and equipped.
The Principal has issued this Invitation to Offer with the objectives to:
Standardise continuous supply availability of food products which cater for centre requirements;
Develop strategic partnerships with suppliers;
Maintain food quality and supply reliability;
Achieve value for money through a standardised purchase price of goods.
The scope of this Invitation is to establish a Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA) with a panel of experienced Suppliers to supply the following food categories meeting the daily food consumption of the prison population across the State of Queensland:
Category 2 – (B) Fresh and Frozen Meat (Beef/Lamb/Pork and Poultry).
Category 3 – (C) Fresh Fruit and Vegetables.*
*Category 3 - Fruit and Vegetables will be established as a Pre-qualified Standing Offer Arrangement where suppliers do not need to provide initial pricing to be eligible to be on the panel. The basic terms and conditions will apply.
