The Department of Agriculture and Fisheries’ (DAF) Reef Water Quality Improvement Program seeks to reduce runoff of nutrients, sediment and chemicals into Reef catchments to improve water quality.
This is being achieved through the adoption of best practice farming practices with primary producers in the Reef catchments.
Additional quantitative and qualitative market research is required to understand impediments to producers in the Reef catchment undertaking best practice farming techniques.
The research will directly inform the communication, engagement and extension planning for producer and consumer-facing communication activities.
