The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of the Health Room
Refurbishment Project at Kawana Waters State College, located at Sportsmans Parade, Bokarina QLD 4575, as part of the
School Direct program.
The refurbishment consists of reconfiguring two large archive rooms into a Learning Area, Bedroom, Bathroom and Small Archive
Room. The scope of works includes but is not limited to new carpet and vinyl flooring, new ceilings, new plumbing and associated
fixtures, new teaching wall, a PWD compliant Ramp and Handrail.
The position of the building is in the centre of the school with limited site access and working space.
All works are to be completed by November 2022.
Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:
- Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works
- Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $ 1,000,000.00
QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance
It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are
required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
