| QUT Kelvin Grove Q Block (KGQ) requires new laboratory works to address research accommodation requirements in 2024. QUT Researchers are relocating from an external facility to KGQ in early 2024. Due to KGQ being occupied and operational the works are staged to allow for minimal disruption to existing KGQ research programs. This tender relates to Stage Two, which involves construction works in KGQ Level 3 and Level 5. Stage One works which involved space consolidation to allow for Stage Two will be completed end of Aug 2023. The Stage Two works involve the creation of Physical Containment Level 2 (PC2) Cell Culture Laboratories, upgraded equipment room, -80 Freezer room and associated mechanical and electrical plant upgrades. Note the Freezer Room 304 is currently documented in Architectural only and the service documents will be issued as an addendum during the tender. Also, the Works required for the Freezer Room on Level 3 Room 304 is to be priced as a separable portion in the tender offer. As specified in the Tender Documents – Specifications & Drawings.
