The Department of State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning is seeking offers to deliver the South East Queensland Land Supply and Development Monitoring Peer Review.
Regional and Spatial Planning (RSP) are commissioning a peer review of the South East Queensland Land Supply and Development Monitoring (LSDM) Report to review the data and methods used to generate the report. Three reports have been released since commencement of ShapingSEQ in 2017, with the most recent report being released in December of 2020.
The purpose of the peer review is to identify improvements that can be implemented in the delivery of the LSDM Report with a focus on better fulfilling its key purposes. The key purposes of the LSDM Report are to:
- inform land use and infrastructure planning decision-making to support the availability of adequate land supply to avoid placing undue pressure on prices in SEQ;
- track land supply and development relative to the dwelling and employment policy objectives of ShapingSEQ, e.g. the dwelling supply benchmarks and employment planning baselines;
- work progressively towards a shared understanding of land supply and development activity data in SEQ;
- undertake and apply best practice research for continual improvements in methods and data.
