The Minister for Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) is seeking offers for DSDILGP-EDQ-2447-20 Stage 1 Waterfront - The Factories Refurbishment - Northshore Hamilton.

The EDQ Priority Development Area referred to as Northshore, is located six kilometres from the Brisbane CBD. As the largest waterfront urban renewal project in Queensland, Northshore is destined to become a true Brisbane icon. Over the next 20 years, this 304-hectare precinct will be transformed from an old wharf into a vibrant waterfront hub. With its inner-city location and superb river views, Northshore will be a major drawcard — a source of inspiration and innovation, with smarter living, open spaces and world-class design for everyone to enjoy. Northshore will deliver up to 10,000 jobs and more than 12,000 residences when fully developed.

A key element of the renewal project is the refurbishment of the Factories.

Scope of works includes but is not limited to:

Relocating an existing Pylon Sign located on MacArthur Ave to be repositioned to the corner of Theodore St and MacArthur Ave (Eastern side of Theodore St).

  • Relocating a demountable building from 230 MacArthur Avenue, Hamilton to new location at 217 MacArthur Avenue, Hamilton.
  • Removal of existing outdoor structural steel structure including makegood
  • New outdoor collaboration area
  • New Information Meeting & Office Areas
  • Car Park modification works
  • Landscaping works
  • Reconfiguration of shipping containers as per plan
  • Purchase of new shipping containers and modification as detailed
  • General makegood of fascia/gutters and painting works
  • Signage and fencing works
  • Façade/painting works
