The Minister for Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) is seeking offers for DSDILGP-EDQ-2448-20 Stage 1 Waterfront - The Shed - Northshore Hamilton.
The EDQ Priority Development Area referred to as Northshore, is located six kilometres from the Brisbane CBD. As the largest waterfront urban renewal project in Queensland, Northshore is destined to become a true Brisbane icon. Over the next 20 years, this 304-hectare precinct will be transformed from an old wharf into a vibrant waterfront hub. With its inner-city location and superb river views, Northshore will be a major drawcard — a source of inspiration and innovation, with smarter living, open spaces and world-class design for everyone to enjoy. Northshore will deliver up to 10,000 jobs and more than 12,000 residences when fully developed.
A key element of the renewal project is the refurbishment of The Shed building and landscape works.
The works for this project involves but is not limited to:
- Structural works
- New shipping container amenities
- New decking and awning
- Wharf timber seating
- Wharf timber entry statement
- Concrete hardstand removal and replacement with spoon drain
- Fencing works
- New front entry
- Demolition of existing amenities/kitchen and replacement with new
- New industrial fans
- New screening to façade
