The Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games (the Games) will be the biggest public transport undertaking in Queensland history. More than 9 million spectators, workforce and athletes will require transport to 35 competition venues in 3 major event zones across 29 days of competition.
It is now appropriate that the foundational planning for the bus fleet and supporting infrastructure commences, given the long lead times required to build, commission and operate the Games bus fleet including spectator, workforce, athlete and games family bus systems.
The Bus Supply Analysis project is required develop the framework for planning and delivering the 2032 Games bus fleet task.
As part of the Olympic Host Contract executed between the International Olympic Committee's (IOC) and the Australian Government / Queensland Government / Brisbane City Council, a comprehensive transport strategy is to be developed and implemented to support the Brisbane 2032 (B2032) Games.
