Invitation to Tender – Amphitheatre Pavilion- Construct Only Contract

The University of Queensland (Principal) invites you to submit a proposal for the design and construction of the Amphitheatre Pavilion (Project).

1             Background

The Buyer Attachments Project Development Brief document sets out further particulars regarding the Project, including background to the Project, an outline of the Tender Documents and currently anticipated Project milestones.

The Tender Documents comprises: 

(a)           this Invitation to Tender Description;

(b)            the Tender Conditions;

(c)           the Tender Questions;

(d)           the Buyer Attachments Project Development Brief document;

(e)           the documents identified or referred to in the Project Development Brief document as comprising the Contract Documents, including the following:

1. the Construct Only Contract (1 Stage) (to be released via Addendum); and
2. the documents referred to in the Project Development Brief document as comprising the Additional Contract Documents https://cloudstor.aarnet.edu.au/plus/s/CH37xJJ0Ixgy52r; and

(g)      the documents identified or referred to in the Project Development Brief document which do not comprise Contract Documents.

The Principal will only contract for the construction of the Project on the basis of the abovementioned Contract Documents. Any required clarification or amendment to the Contract Documents should be clearly identified in the format provided in the relevant Tender Form Returnable Schedule.

2             Tender Conditions   

For the purposes of the Tender Conditions, please note:

1. Tenders must be lodged before 2pm on Friday 31 March 2023 or such later date which the Principal may at any time determine in its absolute discretion by giving written notice to all Tenderers (Tender Closing Date).
2. Offers must remain open and capable of being accepted by UQ for a minimum period of at least 90 days or any longer period you specify in your quote

• Tenderer’s compliance with UQ’s tender and contract requirements.
• Methodology for procurement, design and delivery of the works
• Project program
• Tenderer’s relevant experience, capability and capacity to deliver projects of a similar size and complexity.
• Proposed personnel experience and capacity.
• Local Benefits Test
• Workplace Health & Safety and Risk Identification
• Total Price (Excl. GST)
