Hello,

Questions are now closed. Here are a couple of clarifications.

1.  Should we quote on price per animal rather than an hourly rate as obviously it wouldn’t be viable for JCU to pay an hourly rate?

Happy to receive price on a per animal basis

2. Is there any evidence of damage/numbers to be able to give a more accurate pricing? Numbers will be low based on problem animals.

On average will be less than 3 animals on any one engagement

3. Would the location also extend to land in the surrounding areas, e.g. Charters Towers?

No. These activities are only to be conducted on JCU premises.

Hello,

Another question has been raised.

1. Is this for research or a culling programme. ? What are the sizes of each of the campuses and delineated locations on maps?

It is a culling program

Townsville is 386 ha

Cairns is 90 ha

If you google https://maps.jcu.edu.au/

It will take you to the campus maps for Cairns and Townsville.

Alison

Agency Post #2       27 Jul, 2020 12:27 PM

Hello,

1. Can you please provide some detail on JCU requirements for disposal of animals? Is this something JCU expects the contractor to undertake?

Management of controlled animals will be directed at the time of engagement to either specimens for study purposes or disposal to facilities onsite depending on operational requirements at that time.

2. Annexure C -Terms and Conditions, appears to have a thumbnail of a Word document, but it cannot be opened. Can you please send through Goods and or services agreement document?

I have uploaded a pdf version to the RFQ

Hello,

There have been some questions regarding this RFQ, I have posted the responses below.

I would just like to clarify that this is not an exclusive arrangement (a panel for these services will be established upon evaluation of the responses) this is due to unforeseen potential variables in the requirement for these services.

Advice on the number of control days that would be anticipated on a standard year

Days will be variable based on wild animal pressure.

Could you please confirm that the above tender is only for shooting and trapping of Cat, Dogs and Pigs? Ie, there is no provision for bating.

This is correct. Baiting is not to be conducted under these arrangements.

Seeking more details such as a full list of target species, locations and area size.

This RFQ is predominantly concerned with Feral Animal Control targeting Wild Dogs, Feral Cats and Pigs in Cairns and/or Townsville campus locations.
