Section 1

Tender Overview

The Department of Transport & Main Roads (TMR) will introduce a Repeat Offender Education Program (ROEP) that aims to reduce the proportion of drink drivers that re-offend, through the provision of training, support and management tools that will assist participants to separate drinking from driving. The program will be delivered by external providers and it is anticipated that there will be 11 hours of material in total, to be presented over six weekly sessions.

To inform its procurement approach, TMR seeks input from providers that possess experience in the delivery of support initiatives related to substance dependence, justice and corrections, and/or traffic offences. Background information is contained within the attached document.

Interested parties are encouraged to contact TMR to arrange an in-person meeting or teleconference, to be held between the dates of Tuesday 12 November 2019 and Friday 22 November 2019 (inclusive).  Please identify two convenient days/times in an e-mail to the contact officer as identified below.

Terms & Conditions

Prospective providers may elect to participate or not participate within this market sounding activity without impacting any subsequent procurement process that may be undertaken for the ROEP. This is not a procurement process and there will be no element of evaluation. Any subsequent procurement process that may be undertaken by TMR will be facilitated in accordance with the project documentation at the time.

TMR is not seeking any of the following through this activity:

  • corporate marketing information
  • information that is general in nature
  • intellectual property
  • commercial information (e.g. indicative pricing/rates).
