Tender Overview

Section 1: Tender Overview

Queensland Health intends to issue an Invitation to Tender (ITO) in the first quarter of 2024 for a Computer Assisted Coding Solution for ICD Clinical Coding.

Queensland Health is a large public health organisation serving the health and wellbeing needs of a population of over 5 million people, with over 2.5 million episodes of care each year.

To meet the increasing volume and complexity of needs within the health system, we are seeking to procure a contemporary state-of-the-art computer-assisted clinical coding solution, that is future-proofed through ICD 11 (International Classification of Diseases) compatibility, that manages the workflow through a single interface, with built-in quality control and business intelligence capabilities.

When the ITO is released, access to a de-identified clinical data set will be provided to assist in the development of a tender response. Additionally, an overarching strategy document will provide context for the positioning of responses within the needs and aims of Queensland Health.

There will be an extended ITO period for this procurement to provide opportunity for the incorporation of clinical data into product demonstrations.
