The Queensland University of Technology (QUT), has a requirement for a Parking Software System. The University is seeking to replace an existing in-house developed legacy Parking Software System with a broader, future-oriented solution that supports the efficient management of the on-Campus Parking facilities and infringements.
Parking at QUT campuses at Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove is extremely limited. To put this in perspective, there are approximately 2000 car parking spaces spread across these two campuses that host nearly 50000 students and 10000 staff including sessional academics. This effectively means that 1 car space is available for 30 individuals. The current parking software system helps to allocate the limited parking resources to the University community in line with the University policy to distribute these spaces based on equity needs and operational requirements. The current system developed internally requires considerable re-development to move to a newer technology as well as to accommodate enhancements and better meet audit requirements at QUT.
