Section 1

Tender Overview

Tenders are invited for the reconstruction of the two northern groynes and a geotextile sand container seawall (approximately 200m long) as part of the Maroochydore Entrance stabilisation works along the frontage of the Cotton Tree Caravan Park.

The works comprise:

  • Deconstruction of existing two Northern Groynes (Groynes 3&4);
  • Construction of new Groynes 3 & 4  - including Supply ,filling and placement of sand containers (including sand dredging if required);
  • Deconstruction of existing Geotextile Sand Container “seawall”;
  • Construction of new Seawall - including Supply ,filling and placement of sand containers (including sand dredging if required);

There are two possible options to renew the existing groynes and Sea wall:

  • Option 1: Construction with 2.5m3 geotextile sand containers laid in a herringbone configuration;
  • Option 2: Construction with 5.0m3 geotextile sand containers laid in a stretcher bond configuration.

Respondents are required to provide a price for both options, with Council selecting one option for both groynes.
