Section 1

Tender Overview

Manufacture of 15 x 32.9m long 'Super T-Girders' for a new three (3) span bridge over Coondoo Creek. Coondoo Creek is located 34km north-east of Gympie on the Tin Can Bay Road.

T-Girders

  • All T-Girders are 1825mm high. Inner Girders (IN1 – IN3) are 2050mm wide. Outer Girders (ED1 – ED6) are 1950mm wide.
  • T-Girders to be manufactures in accordance with MRTS73 (Jul17) - 'Manufacture of Prestressed Concrete Members and Stressing Units'.
  • Casting, curing and finishes shall be in accordance with AS5100.5 and MRTS70. T-Girders Exposure Class B2 S50/20. Minimum Cover of 35mm. Strength at transfer to be 40MPa minimum

Bearing Restraint Plates

  • Bill of Quantities includes item for supply (provisional if ordered) and installation of bearing restraint plates (with keeper plates and fasteners) to underside of girders.

In-fill Formwork Covers

  • Inclusion of provision items for supply and installation of sacrificial in-fill formwork for Super T-girder voids (compliant with AS3610).
