Tender Overview

Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is a major Australian University with a ‘real world’ focus. Based in Brisbane with campuses at Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove, the University offers more than 300 academic and professionally oriented programs across a broad range of disciplines. QUT has a global outlook, over 49,000 students and around 13,000 staff (approximately half of which are academics).

In 2019, QUT appointed a new Chief Information Officer (CIO) who has been tasked with developing a culture that understands the value of technology investment as an enabler of digital productivity and transformation. One of the ways QUT aims to achieve this change is to have a more streamlined IT desktop fleet management process so that it becomes a seamless end to end asset management process for staff.  QUT is actively exploring enhanced and/or alternative options for the design, management, funding and provision of its desktop fleet management service requirements across the fleet management lifecycle, from procurement and management through to sustainable disposal for assets and associated peripherals. QUT is particularly interested in leading and demonstrating innovative service delivery models to take desktop fleet management efficiency and effectiveness to the next level of maturity.

QUT is keen to consider proposals for the provision of service delivery options for the management of its desktop fleet. For example, there may be some innovative, value for money, proposals that might replace either partially or completely the existing service delivery models. We are particularly keen to explore new technologies and best practice approaches to sustainability, including such initiatives as on-demand services, shared services, and personal devices, along with value-add services and enhanced measurement and monitoring.

QUT is looking for supplier/s to demonstrate that they are industry leaders capable of meeting the highest levels of service, quality, and innovation to deliver QUT’s desired desktop asset management outcomes.  Proposals by individual companies or consortia will be welcomed.
