Tender Overview

Powerlink is seeking to establish a Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA) for Field Delivery Optimisation.  The arrangement will facilitate the purchase of services and technology products from a catalogue at pre-determined pricing.

The Technical Specification provides an overview of the requirements relating to the implementation of a holistic field delivery management solution. This solution is expected to support Field Delivery with a focus on field work resource planning and scheduling and field work execution.

Powerlink uses SAP to manage its asset portfolio including maintenance plans and work orders. Whilst SAP will remain the foundation to support Powerlink’s asset lifecycle and resource management, Powerlink is reviewing the technology and processes currently used in the following areas:

1.     Planning and scheduling field personnel and resources carrying out work through SAP Work Orders and SAP Project System Network and Activity items.

2.     Provision of work packages to field staff containing all required information for works delivery.

3.     Collaboration amongst field staff and with head office based staff (planners, schedulers, engineers etc.)

4.     Asset condition data collection and data maintenance associated with Asset Measurement Points and Notifications managed in SAP.
