Tender Overview

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) through Maritime Safety Queensland (MSQ) is responsible for the provision of pilotage services in the Brisbane Pilotage Area under the Maritime Safety Queensland Act 2002. MSQ provides pilotage services in the Brisbane Pilotage Area through a contractual arrangement that expires on 31 December 2020.


On 26 November 2019, TMR released a forward procurement notice on the Queensland Government QTenders website advising the deparment’s intention to release an Invitation to Offer (ITO) for the provision of these services beyond 31 December 2020. There has been a slight delay in finalising the ITO, therefore, the ITO will not be released in January 2020 as previously advised, it will now be released in early February.


It should be be noted that it is a requirement of this tender for Suppliers to complete and return a Confidentiality Deed before the ITO and any supporting documents will be released. If your organisation is interested in submitting an Offer please complete the attached Confidentiality Deed and email it to CPO_Tenders@tmr.qld.gov.au.


An industry briefing will be held 10 business days after the ITO is released for suppliers that have completed a Confidentiality Deed and been provided with a copy of the ITO.
