Section 1

Tender Overview

The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for construction of Horn Island & Palm Island Splash Parks.

The Remote Indigenous Land and Infrastructure Program Office (RILIPO), Department of Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander Partnerships (DATSIP) has partnered with the Palm Island Shire Council and the Torres Shire Council for
the construction of a Splash Park Facility at each location.

2. SCOPE OF WORKS
2.1 INCLUDED WORKS
The general scope of works for the project entails the following:
▪ Design, manufacture, delivery, construction, fit out and connection to services for two Splash Park Facilities,
as detailed on the Drawings contained in Appendix B.
▪ The Splash Park Facilities are located as follows:
o Lot 2 on SP160311, situated Nawie Street, Horn Island referred to as ‘Horn Island Splash Park’ herein;
and
o Lot 513 on SP273615, situated Beach Road, Palm Island referred to as ‘Palm Island Splash Park’
herein.
The project funding is conditional upon the Splash Park Facilities being operational before 30 June 2020.
2.2 EXCLUDED WORKS
The following scope of works items are excluded from this contract.
▪ Development Approval and Operational Works Application to Council’s and
▪ Ergon Application. DATSIP (the Principal) has entered into an agreement with Ergon to supply electricity to
the site.
