Section 1

Tender Overview

The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of four refurbishment projects at Brisbane State High School, located at the Corner of Cordelia & Glenelg Streets, South Brisbane, QLD, 4101 for a school funded project.


The works include the internal refurbishment of three rooms in Block A, Block B and Block F respectively as well as some external concrete works at the Fursden Road campus. The spaces are required urgently and as such partial design work has been completed with the builder required to complete the design and provide certification on completion.


All works are to be completed by 24 April 2020


Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:
• Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works
• Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $ 1.0 Million

QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance
It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
