Section 1

Tender Overview

Tenders are invited for the dry hire of mobile plant and associated equipment (without an operator) at the Image Flat Quarry.

Council’s quarries are situated at Image Flat Road, Image Flat and Sherwell Road, Dulong. Council also owns or has rights to extract material from a number of smaller quarries and gravel pits across the region. The intended use of the mobile equipment will at both Image Flat and Dulong Quarries, with the possibility of use at the Bli Bli Stockpile.

Council requires the following mobile plant and associated equipment for a fixed term of 24 months:

  • Three 26 tonne (or equivalent size) Wheel Loaders;
  • One 35 tonne (or equivalent size) Excavator; and
  • One 40 tonne (or equivalent size) Dump Truck (rigid or articulated – Respondents are requested to provide a price for both).

Respondents may tender for as many or few pieces of equipment, noting that Council may at its sole discretion elect to award to more than one Respondent.

This is a schedule of rates contract for a period of 24 months, commencing on 1 May 2020 and expiring on 30 April 2022.
