Section 1

Tender Overview

Powerlink seeks to engage a Supplier to implement an enterprise grade Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) GIS platform to provide critical business functions align with Powerlink’s strategic direction and which will:

  1. Have the capability to support current business needs and the ability to satisfy emergent demand in Operational Technology and a data driven business;
  2. Have predictive capabilities and analytics to support decision making and strategic awareness;
  3. Be consistent in presentation regardless of solution or device;
  4. Be mobile enabled for users in the field;
  5. Is equitable for all staff (regardless of location) to receive a consistent and quality GIS service; and
  6. Encourages and supports innovation to use geospatial data.

To ensure that Powerlink delineates and controls the progression of these works and is aligned to the Project and funding approvals, Powerlink will make use of a contract with a staged implementation structure with optional contract components which Powerlink may implement in a considered manner.
