Section 1

Tender Overview

The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for Palm Island Aboriginal Shire Council Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) . It includes removing and tidying decommissioned infrastructure and cleaning up the site. The project also serves to provide additional space within the WWTP site for any future infrastructure upgrades.  .

Depending on requirements these goods / services specifically include:

  • the demolition and removal of several decommissioned assets at the WWTP site
  • obtaining written approval of a nominated dumping site to dispose of any tank contents found on the project site (for example Wastewater, sludge etc.) from the Palm Island Aboriginal Shire Council
  • backfill, compact and make good any ground in which the infrastructure sits beneath
  • confirming that the power supply is disconnected to the decommissioned assets which may include but not limited to pumps, mixers, flow meters etc.
  • manage any identified asbestos in line with their Asbestos Management Plan which shall include but not be limited to handling, removal and disposal at an approved location
