Section 1

Tender Overview

The Queensland Government places significant importance on the planning, delivery, maintenance and functionality of schools and other property.  To achieve this, the Government undertakes a range of new building solutions, refurbishment projects and extensions of Queensland schools and other property.

Principal Consultants, in conjunction with Project Managers, play a substantial role in the delivery of these projects. This is achieved through supplying professional services that allow the project to be successfully steered to its completion while complying with Government standards and requirements.  It is vital that projects are delivered within specified time frames, budgets, quality parameters and the facility’s specific requirements.

The current Principal Consultants Panel (DETE Panel 101581 - Principal Consultants for Infrastructure Services) is due to expire shortly. For continuity, the Panel will continue whilst this new PQP is offered, evaluated and the successful Offerors are contracted to a new Panel.

The Department of Education operates, and is responsible for, the Pre-qualified Panel (PQP) and the Panel will be available to all organisational units within the DoE’s portfolio, including TAFE’s, State Schools, other educational facilities and is available for common usage by other Queensland Government Departments, statutory authorities and other entities.  The PQP, once established, is an overarching agreement between the Provider and the relevant Department.
