Tender Overview

TMR00420 – Murarrie Commercial Roadside Facility and Driver Rest Area Development Opportunity

The Queensland Government is seeking expressions of interest from proponents with demonstrated experience in developing, and or owning and operating commercial roadside facilities to design and construct a Commercial Roadside Facility and Driver Rest Area on the Site (approximately 4.358 hectares) situated at the junction of the Gateway Motorway, Lytton Road and the Port of Brisbane Motorway.

The State is willing to offer tenure over the Site. Tenure options that may be considered by the State include freehold title or a long-term lease arrangements.The State has not formed a concluded view of what tenure arrangements would be appropriate and proponents are invited to nominate their preferred tenure arrangement.

The Project must, among other things detailed in this Expression of Interest (EOI) Invitation, and at no cost to the State:

  • provide a CRF at the Site which provides goods and services that encourage road users to break their journey and avoid driver fatigue;
  • incorporate a DRA that is adequately separated from roadways and provides facilities which encourage both light and heavy vehicle drivers to achieve effective rest; and
  • deliver a development outcome on the Site in a timely manner.

Please note, proponents are not required to provide a financial offer for the Site as part of the EOI Process, however are required to nominate the proposed tenure arrangement for their proposal.

For detailed information please review the EOI and related Appendices.
