Section 1

Tender Overview

Tenders are invited for the provision of telecommunications and related services.

Council is seeking Tenders from a wide variety of experienced companies to provide quality and cost effective services. This includes tenders that focus on individual services outlined below, enabling Council to access a range of service providers and ensure its investment provides flexibility and achieves value for money.

This Invitation to Tender is structured into ten separate sections (each a Section):

  • Section A – Mobile Products and Services
  • Section B – Fixed Telephony
  • Section C – Telecom Expense Management Solution
  • Section D – Unified Endpoint Management Solution
  • Section E – Communications Gateway Platform
  • Section F – Network Data Services
  • Section G – Telecommunication and Network Consultancy Services
  • Section H – Call Centre Telephony Solution
  • Section I – Field Based Communications
  • Section J – Public WiFi Services

Respondents can submit a Tender for one or more Sections. To be clear, Council welcomes tenders that are only for one Section, multiple Sections, as well as those for all Sections.

Council may in its sole discretion elect to award one or more Sections to one or more Respondents. To ensure a smooth transition and minimise disruption to Council’s operations, the start date for each Section may be different and will be agreed with successful Respondents prior to contract execution.

The Supplier will be required to work with Council to transition existing services from the current environment according to a transition plan to be developed.

The Supplier will ideally have a track record in delivering the specified services to local government or similar agencies.

This is a Schedule of Rates tender. The first subscription period will be for a three (3) year term, with two (2) additional subscription periods of 12 months. Council will negotiate the Service Period for a three (3) year or five (5) year term for the Telecommunications Services with the successful Respondents.
